John Daly's wife claims that he made up that story about her cutting him with a steak knife last week. She said he was covering up for an assault on her. Daly, who showed up for the second round of the Stanford St. Jude Championships Friday, June 8th, had scratches on his face from an apparent attack by his wife.

PGA Tour officials added extra security for Daly after he told police that his wife had attacked him that morning. Sheree Daly has filed court papers asking for a restraining order against Daly as well as use of their home in Memphis and financial support for her and her two children.

Daly told a Memphis newspaper that his wife was lying but he seemed to indicated that he had no plans to file charges against her.

So who's story do you believe? Sounds like another big mess that will overshadow "Big Johns" accomplishments on the golf course once again.
